Dr. Jeffrey J. Rodman

Dr. Jeffrey J. Rodman is a bestselling author and the developer of Personal Transformation Therapy which helps to make rapid changes to your health and well-being.  He takes a holistic and integrative approach to therapy which involves integrating various elements of different theories and practice. He leans most heavily on approaches focused on how people’s thinking can change feelings and behaviors while also implementing an approach focused on helping clients achieve their highest potential. Instead of energy spent on the past or on negative behaviors, he emphasizes the goodness in clients and works toward each person’s growth and self-actualization. He uses approaches oriented toward problem-solving including Hypnotherapy, NLP Brain Training, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and Brain/Life/Success Coaching.

Dr. Jeffrey J. Rodman specializes in working with individuals and families coping with issues related to mental health, substance abuse, marital, and difficult life issues. Dr. Rodman has been working with adults, adolescents, and families for over two decades helping to guide them through difficult life periods. He has worked in nearly every clinical setting including community clinics, public schools, private schools, private practice, and online counseling.

Dr. Rodman received his BS in Chemical Dependency Counseling and M.Ed. in Counseling and Development from George Mason University, in Fairfax, Virginia and his PhD in Religion from Christian Bible College in Rocky Mount, NC. 


Dr. Rodman is Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia as of August of 2003 (LPC #0701003571 / NPI #1174780761) and  Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP #0718000359) as of 2019.  Dr. Rodman is also a Board Certified Clinical Master Hypnotherapist (CCMHt).

Dr. Rodman holds certifications as a Certified Clinical Criminal Justice Specialist (CCCJS), a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), a Nationally Certified Addictions Prevention Specialist (NCAPS-III), and a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor (CDVC-II). He has been a trained Parent-to-Parent Facilitator, a licensed therapeutic foster parent, and a certified trainer in the administration, scoring and clinical interpretation of various substance abuse, mental health, and psychiatric assessment and diagnostic tools. He is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

In addition to his Counseling credentials, Dr. Rodman is also a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a Certified Grants Specialist (CGS). He is an experienced public speaker, writer, grant writer, and fundraiser who operates a consulting practice serving nonprofit organizations. Although he grew up in New York, Dr. Rodman now lives in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley where he and his wife of almost 30 years home school their six children. When Dr. Rodman isn’t working he loves to work with his church, hike on Skyline Drive, and play games or spend time with his wife and children.
